Installation
Watt is distributed as a standard macOS DMG. No Node.js, no npm, no terminal commands. Just download and go.
Requirements: macOS 12 or later · Apple Silicon
Download the DMG
Click the button below to download the latest version of Watt Desktop.
Open the DMG and install
Open the downloaded .dmg file. Drag Watt Desktop into your Applications folder when prompted.
Launch Watt
Open Applications and double-click Watt Desktop. On first launch, macOS may ask you to confirm opening an app from the internet. Click Open.
If the dialog only shows Done and Delete (no Open option), click Done, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
Recommended: Launch at login
In the Watt Settings tab, enable Launch at Login. This is recommended — extensions need Watt running to execute long-running or periodic tasks (e.g. automatically collecting competitor information in the background). You can also run it as a background tray app with no dock icon.
